In early June, we took a break from screens, notifications, and video calls. Our All Hands Meeting was held live – offline and in person – in Ostrava. Nearly 40 members of the Hyverr team came together face-to-face to reconnect, share ideas, and discover once again how powerful real human interaction can be.
Our team – developers, automation engineers, and AI enthusiasts – gathered in Ostrava for a full day of live connection. For many of us, it was the first time meeting in person, away from screens and call fatigue. No headphones, no "You're on mute" – just real conversations, eye contact, and shared energy.
This offline meeting gave us space to reconnect as people, not just colleagues behind avatars. And that was the whole point.
This wasn’t just a routine update or status review. Our company offsite focused on open conversations – about what we’re building, why it matters, and how we can evolve together.
We brainstormed new product and service ideas with potential value for our clients. And, as is often the case with a strong team, some of the best ideas didn’t come during planned sessions – they came during coffee breaks, over pastries, or in spontaneous hallway chats that ended with: “Hey, we really need to try this.”
At Hyverr, we operate as a remote-first company. It works – remote brings flexibility, deep focus, and geographic freedom. But this in-person team meeting reminded us that certain types of trust, collaboration, and creativity only emerge when you’re physically in the same room.
People listen differently. Ideas flow faster. Barriers drop. An internal meeting like this is more than just a change of scenery – it’s a powerful boost to team culture.
This wasn’t just a day out of the office. Our team offsite in Ostrava left a real mark. We came away with ideas, clarity, and motivation – but most importantly, we left feeling more connected.
